WORKERS' COMPENSATION

If you were injured on the job there are a variety of benefits you may be entitled to.  If your injuries keep you from working [and are supported by a physician] you should receive 2/3 of your average weekly wage during the period of disability.  You are also entitled to medical care, however, with some exceptions, this will be with the physician selected by the employer or their workers' compensation insurance carrier.  You may also be entitled to permanent partial disability benefits if the injury is thought to cause you permanent impairment.  You may also recover for disfigurement and, if your injuries keep you from returning to any work at all on a permanent basis, you may recover permanent total disability benefits which will pay you a weekly amount for life and lifetime medical benefits.

There are a variety of very important deadlines in workers' compensation matters that can be fatal to your case if they are not met.  For example, if you receive a Final Admission of Liability, you have only 30 days to respond or you will be foreclosed from pursuing any additional benefits.

As with auto injury litigation, the medical evidence is critical to maximizing the recovery.  We can help you to maximize your communication with your physician and manage your case to recover every last dollar you may be entitled to.
